WHY COMPANIES FRANCHISE, LICENSE OR SELL THEIR SYMBOL
(OFTEN kNOWN AS FASCIA) BRANDS
|

Whilst some companies genuinely adopt "franchising strategies"
to grow their businesses with a genuine intention to grow their profits in conjunction with the profits of their "franchisees"
licensees and symbol operators, there are unfortunately those who have little regard for their partners profitability. Their
main purpose is to offload all the risk to their junior partners whilst they make profit OUT of you.
Unfortunately
there are many of these deceitful operators and they include some well known companies. The retail sector in particularly
is full of them especially the petrol forecourt sector.
In so doing these Franchisors, licensors and symbol
operators often control and dominate their partners so much that the junior partner is no more than an employee
without employment rights rather than a genuine self employed business person in control of their own business and its
success.
Many Franchisors, licensors or symol operators often abuse the power of their position and you find that
all is not what it was painted to be when the Franchisor etc sold you their package.
When considering joining
these groups always ask to talk to a selection of existing members and ask some very probing questions. MCG will advise
